Kristen Riggs, Client Services Representative
Kristen was born in El Paso, Texas, and moved to Columbus at age 11. She graduated from Hardaway High School and graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. She moved to Maryland and lived there for 4 years where she missed the southern hospitality (but not the heat and humidity so much)! She has had two dogs - Spotz, a beagle, and Munchie, a mini-dachshund. She has a 3 and 1/2 year old little boy who keeps her extremely busy. She loves to read and spend time with him. She has been in customer service for over 10 years and loves working with people and animals! She feels lucky to have a job where she can be around both!

Jennifer Lee, Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. She has been a veterinary assistant since 2000, and is intrigued with preventing and healing sickness in our animal society.

Jennifer and her husband have 9 horses, and raise at least three foals a year. They also have a barn cat and 2 spoiled rotten dogs (a Boxer mix and a Miniature Australian Shepherd). Jennifer has always had animals in her life and can't imagine being without them. She feels blessed to have had this opportunity as a career.

Angie Dougherty, Veterinary Assistant
Angie was born in Owensboro, KY, but moved around the world as an "Army Brat," until she settled in Columbus in 1994. She's married to Brad Dougherty and is the mother of a blended family: 3 sons, Josh, Justin and Noah, 2 stepsons: Wes and Luke and 1 stepdaughter Reagan. She also has 2 four legged children: Dallas, a wild and crazy Boston Terrier and GiGi (a.k.a. "Pork Pork), an English Bulldog and a granddaughter of UGA V.

She loves University of Georgia football and University of Kentucky basketball, and enjoys watching NASCAR and "attempting" to play golf. Most of all, Angie loves spending time with her family.

Angie has worked in veterinary clinics in many states since 1990. She also worked briefly in the "human field," but missed the joy and accomplishment of caring for animals. After working with large animals, small animals and at a zoo, Angie feels that she's found her home and family at Double Churches Animal Clinic.

Erika Boyd, Kennel Attendant
Erika grew up in the "Hoosier State" of Indiana. She graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. Before moving to Georgia she taught Kindergarten and spent her summers working at the Indianapolis Zoo.

When her husband was transferred to Fort Benning, Erika used this opportunity to pursue her interest in working with animals. She has a talented cat named Sophie and is currently researching dog breeds to find the perfect canine addition to their family!

When she's not working, Erika and her husband enjoy watching the Indianapolis Colts and the Purdue Boilermakers, biking, and cooking. She also spends many weekends at PAWS Humane in search of a companion for her cat Sophie.
