Dr. Shannon Wylie

Dr. Wylie graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She has practiced in Phenix City, Alabama and Cumming, Georgia. Dr. Wylie's special interests include dentistry and surgery.

Dr. Wylie is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA) and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).

Outside of work, Dr. Wylie enjoys hiking, kayaking, photography and just relaxing with her husband and their dog, Marble, and 2 cats, Radar (shown) and Hawkeye!

Jennifer Lee, Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia. She has been a veterinary assistant since 2000, and is intrigued with preventing and healing sickness in our animal society.

Jennifer and her husband have 9 horses, and raise at least three foals a year. They also have a barn cat and 2 spoiled rotten dogs (a Boxer mix and a Miniature Australian Shepherd). Jennifer has always had animals in her life and can't imagine being without them. She feels blessed to have had this opportunity as a career.

Angie Dougherty, Veterinary Assistant
Angie was born in Owensboro, KY, but moved around the world as an "Army Brat," until she settled in Columbus in 1994. She's married to Brad Dougherty and is the mother of a blended family: 3 sons, Josh, Justin and Noah, 2 stepsons: Wes and Luke and 1 stepdaughter Reagan. She also has 2 four legged children: Dallas, a wild and crazy Boston Terrier and GiGi (a.k.a. "Pork Pork), and English Bulldog and a granddaughter of UGA V.

She loves University of Georgia football and University of Kentucky basketball, and enjoys watching NASCAR and "attempting" to play golf. Most of all, Angie loves spending time with her family.

Angie has worked in veterinary clinics in many states since 1990. She also worked briefly in the "human field," but missed the joy and accomplishment of caring for animals. After working with large animals, small animals and at a zoo, Angie feels that she's found her home and family at Double Churches Animal Clinic.

Marcia Butterfield, Receptionist
Marcia was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. She moved to Ft. Benning, Georgia with her husband Marc, and sons in 1997. Since then, Marc has retired from the Army and they have decided to make Georgia their home. Recently, Marc and Marcia have been blessed with a grand baby, born to the oldest son and his wife. Their youngest son is a junior at Georgia Southern University.

Marcia and her husband are the brave owners of two energy gilled Jack Russell Terriers, Piper and Chico, and their large mixed breed dog, Ranger - who thinks he is as little as his brother and sister.

Although Marcia is new to the veterinary industry, she has years of experience in customer service. She has a passion for animals and people, and likes to think of our clients as more than Double Churches Animal Clinic clients; but friends as well. She feels like she has found her niche and plans on meeting and befriending clients and pets for years to come.

Dannie Brown, Kennel Attendant
Dannie was born in Columbus, Georgia and now lives in Waverly Hall. She is a 2007 graduate of Harris County High School. Dannie has a Pit Bull named Gabe and two horses, Dakota and Razzy. She loves animals and enjoys helping them. Right now she is our Kennel Attendant but will someday become a Veterinary Technician. On the weekends, she enjoys riding horses, participating in rodeos, and spending time with friends and family.
